Senior Solutions Architect – Cloud and Security

About the role

International Financial Services and Insurance company with long established presence in the Irish, European and North American Markets has a requirement for a Senior Solutions Architect with strong Cloud and Security experience

The Senior Solutions Architect will be required to provide architectural direction for the company’s infrastructure and application projects, while ensuring all appropriate internal standards are applied.

Responsibilities of Role:

• Work as part of an assigned project team to architect infrastructure solutions.
• These may vary in scope and size across multiple disciplines including AD, Aix, Server, Network, Telco, Middleware, Storage, and Security, covering PROD, DR and Test.
• Ensure best practice and compliance consistent with a financial organisation.
• Provide solutions for ongoing improvement and compliance in the environment as well as business specific projects.
• Work with the architecture team to assist with the annual health assessment reviews.
• Be a contributor to the development of the Infrastructure Architecture practice in Europe through forums such as the internal Architecture Forums.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with I.S. Leaders both within ETS and across the Lines of business.

Essential Candidate Requirements

• 7+ Years working as a Solutions Architect, preferably in Infrastructure Project delivery.
• Strong track record in the design and delivery of Azure, SaaS & PaaS solutions – Candidates must have recent experience in designing and solutions to relocate application/services from in-house servers to the cloud. Such experience should also include the incorporation of security features into new cloud based infrastructure.
• Broad technical knowledge of a range of Infrastructure related disciplines particularly Network communications, Cyber Security and a very strong understanding of current cloud based technologies.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team within formal project management methodologies and processes
• Have previously worked on projects that involved managing stakeholder expectations/requirements across a large organisation
• 3rd party vendor management experience
• Possess TOGAF, CoBit or equivalent industry certification for Architecture
• Native level English with excellent writing skills
• Immediate Ability to work in the Republic of Ireland WITHOUT the need for Visa Sponsorship

Highly desirable

While not essential, Any of the qualifications listed below (Or very strong knowledge of same) would be most advantageous:

• Third level degree in an IT related discipline or appropriate equivalent
• MS Azure Certification
• Other MS certification, ideally MSCE, MCP or other relevant professional Qualification
• Cisco Certification (CCNP, CCSP or appropriate equivalent)
• IT Security/Information Security Certifications (CISM, CompTIA Security, CISSP, CISA)
