Finance Project Analyst – €400 per Day.

Our client is a highly regarded Insurance and Financial Services Multinational with significant experience in the Irish Market. They now have an immediate requirement for a Finance Project Analyst to support the implementation of Project Prime, an Oracle EPM upgrade and enhancement project across the Irish Life Group Finance community.

The Finance Project Analyst role will report to the Project Prime Business Process Lead and work closely with the Project Manager and SMEs from the wider finance team in the company.

Responsibilities of role

Requirements gathering

* Meet with process owners, reporting teams and end users to define business, financial, and operational reporting requirements/system goals

* Analyse and verify EPM requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility and feasibility

* Work with the BPO, Project Team, SMEs and IT to ensure the detailed system requirements are understood, captured, QA’d and implemented

* Work with BPO and wider Project team to document the requirements

* Manage and track status of requirements throughout project lifecycles

Design, development and testing

* Ownership of Key business design components and issues

* Research, review, and analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and propose solutions for enhancing or further leveraging these processes

* Lead design sessions for new EPM systems, including data transfers and reconciliations

* Identify and resolve systems issues, coordinate and perform in-depth system testing

* Contribute to the planning and execution of testing

System acceptance and rollout

* Liaise with business teams on the roll-out/adoption of new data models and processes

* Manage and influence stakeholder expectations to ensure a consistent group-wide solution is delivered

* Work with the BPO to ensure the revised/new process controls are fully documented and in place

* Work with the BPO on the communications to the wider Finance Team

* Work with the BPO to support the Change Management Tasks

Essential Candidate Requirements

* Degree Qualified in one of the following or related area: Accountancy, Business, Finance, Data Analysis, IT or Information Management

* Previous experience in a role focused on analysing business/technical requirements, business process modelling/mapping, data modelling and Change management

* Previous experience working on the design development, implementation and testing of EPM software solutions, systems, or processes

* Practical knowledge in data management and data integration

* Knowledge of BI / Data Visualisation tools

* Strong communications and facilitation skills

* Have previously worked in Financial Services, banking or Insurance OR have worked in a similar role for the Finance Department of a large enterprise

* Communication skills

Highly desirable

While not essential, one or more of the following would be most welcome:

* Qualifications/experience in Accountancy

* Previous experience working with Oracle EPM

* Previous experience on projects that involved migration to cloud based systems
