Infrastructure Architect – Dublin West/Hybrid – €100K

International construction & engineering company with substantial operations in Ireland, the UK Europe and The Middle East is now looking for a Senior Infrastructure Architect to lead the next phase of the Company’s Digital Transformation process and assume a managerial oversight role thereafter.

Headquartered in Ireland with an annual turnover of €1Billion+, this company has interests in several sectors beyond construction and need the Senior Data Architect to help with the expansion of their current IT Infrastructure.

Working closely with a range of key Stakeholders (Both technical and non-technical) the Senior Infrastructure Architect will have a good mix of strong technical and business skills. They will also have recent experience in infrastructure upgrading projects involving migrations and building out the infrastructure that allows a diverse range of systems communicate with each other.

This is a permanent role with a company that already has several long-term projects underway along with high levels of projected growth for the foreseeable future. The role is Hybrid in nature, with a flexible mix of remote/onsite attendance requirements.

Responsibilities of role:

* Quickly Gain a thorough understanding of existing Company Architecture

* Successfully working with the business and IT stakeholders to deliver progress/transformation – This will necessitate diving deep with key stakeholders to fully understand and map out the core requirements/needs.

* Looking into the different technical solutions that may be suitable for these needs/requirements

* Re- Architecture of systems where required

* Re-Design of key Business Data Flows

* Design and Implement solutions that will allows a disparate range of systems effectively communicate with one another in a manner that will improve the efficiency of existing workflows

* Manage the implementation and rollout of any addition infrastructure that may be required to achieve any desired improvements identified during analytical and/or stakeholder consultations

* Provide longer term managerial and maintenance oversight on all aspects of company infrastructure

Essential Candidate Requirements

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Senior Architectural Role where the main emphasis was on transformation/upgrading of Infrastructure.

* Previous experience of designing, implementing and managing infrastructural improvements – This should include experience Mergers, Integrations and migrations

* An understanding of Business and Systems Analysis processes/methodologies – This should include an ability to elicit and interpret key data on workflows within the existing company infrastructure

* A thorough understanding of Cloud Solutions Architecture, particularly MS Azure

* Previous experience Architecting solutions that encompassed a broad range of Microsoft technologies, particularly those related to 0365

* Prospective Candidates must be able to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Proven Communications and Stakeholder management Skills are Essential

* Degree or appropriate equivalent in Computer Science, IT or a related, relevant quantitative discipline Mathematics

* Industry Architectural Certification – TOGAF, CoBit or appropriate equivalent

* While not essential, previous experience supporting a large organisation from the utilities, construction/engineering or related sector would be most welcome

* Immediate availability to work in Ireland without the need for Visa or Critical Skills Permit
