“The Great Resignation”: Crisis or Crucial Opportunity?

The job market is changing drastically. Is your resourcing strategy resilient enough to respond?

In early 2022, I.T. Alliance commissioned an independent survey of 1,000 office workers to gather their insights, intentions and sentiments about their current roles, future employment plans, recruitment partners, and motivations to remain in or leave roles. The survey also raised key issues around workplace culture, workers’ priorities, and the importance of flexible working and hybrid options.

A glimpse into the key findings:

  • 37% stated that they intend to leave their current role in 2022
  • 27% stated that training and development opportunities are their main requirement from a role
  • 49% stated that they think their company should use specialist recruiters for hiring
  • 83% wanted training and upskilling in their roles this year
  • 54% want a hybrid working model
  • 25% stated that they would leave a role if expected to work in the office full time

In this Webinar recording, I.T. Alliance, an Auxilion company, provide a comprehensive response to the key findings from the survey. Also discussed are the implications for talent acquisition and resourcing strategies for businesses, the potential for a blended approach to recruitment, the crucial role of contractors, and recommendations on how to build I.T. recruitment specialists into your broader resourcing strategy.
